(BlackMediaScoop) Rasheeda Buckner and Momma Dee of hit show “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” are reportedly close to getting axed from season two by VH1 network executives, according to reports.
Why? Fans say rapper Rasheeda is “boring” and they say Momma Dee is just way over the top. The criticisms have prompted VH1 executives to reconsider inviting the pair back for another season. “[Rasheeda] doesn’t seem to fit in. There’s not enough excitement in her life … she’s too boring,” an inside source said.
For the balance of the season, Rasheeda was unable to hold viewer interest in her marriage to her manager Kirk and their decade-long struggle to bust Rasheeda into the rap mainstream.
More than some have speculated that Rasheeda used the drama she created with Kimberly “K. Michelle” Pate — questioning K. Michelle’s account of abuse by Memphitz — to draw fan interest in her that her business-music career could not.
Momma Dee (seen above), the mother of Atlanta-based rapper Lil Scrappy, “is renowned for her overbearing and exaggerated personality, some claim prompted widespread criticism throughout the season. Momma Dee is interesting, but she’s a little too much. The show took a lot of [heat] about the way they depicted black women … Momma Dee was one of the reasons that people were complaining,” the source said.
What do you think? Will ratings drop without these two women?
